Hey everyone and welcome back to CE United’s clan blog that we like to call the Weekly Willy Update. I now present you with a picture of CE United’s most loyal fans.
or maybe it is just two kids playing dress up thinking they are Spiderman. Who knows, I am going to go with the second one just to be safe. No one will ever know who these two men really are but I just have one thing to say to these two men, “Thank you Mr. Spiderman”.
Gaming News…
The gaming news this week is a little slow, seeing how there isn’t much to talk about. Speaking of which, since I mentioned Spiderman earlier I might as well keep that theme rolling. My brother told me about a new trailer for a new Spiderman game called Spiderman: Web of Shadows. At first, when I saw this game I didn’t really appeal to me and I thought it was just another Spiderman game. I was very skeptical of this game because I am still left with a bitter taste in my mouth from both Spiderman 3 the movie and Spiderman 3 the game. I have to give them credit so far, the game looks really cool. Check it out and watch all the trailers including the one from E3. Here is the link: http://seizecontrol.marvel.com/

We played C1nder again (ROUND 2) last Friday (July 31st) and the write up is written and ready to be heard by the masses (or better put read by you the reader).

***NEW MEMBER ALERT!!***
CE United would like to welcome KyA caboose to our clan as our newest member. If you think this name sounds familiar too well you guessed it right. KyA caboose is originally from C1nder. I guess he liked playing with us so much from the first clan challenge that he voiced interest in joining our clan so we decided to snatch him right up like a fat kid on a cupcake. So welcome Caboose, may your stay with CE United be a fun and exciting one!
Clan matches, they just keep on rolling in. Later this week (Friday to be exact) CE United will be playing VAHOMA in a clan challenge. This challenge should be so fun you can’t beat it with a stick! Now that is fun the whole family can enjoy. Expect a write up to be posted on our forum shortly preceding the epic match (a week or so after?). Hopefully our next clan match might be against the creators themselves (Bungie) who knows?
One last bit of clan news, CE United presents: M4STER K4RT 08. M4STER K4RT 08 is shaping up rather nicely thanks to LastDesertF0X. Hopefully we can finish our 3rd track/map in the not so distant future. Once that is complete, I will extend the invite to our friends and several other clans so they can join in on the massive event. Maybe other clans that know about us but we haven’t played yet like Second Foundation might join in on the action as well. Seeing how they do talk about us in their weekly podcast the “Riot” it seems only right to include them as well. That does it for clan news this week, more to follow next week, don’t miss it!
Willy’s Rant of the Week (WRotW)
This week’s WRotW topic is about the lack of the Wii’s online play. I may have talked about something similar to this fashion before in a previous WWU but I don’t care because it’s my rant of the week. I read something earlier this week saying Nintendo is already thinking about the Wii 2 or the Wii’s successor. The Wii may be winning in sales but that doesn’t mean it should be winning. Their online play is crap and with the Wii Speak technology coming out that is not going to help their online system. No one will ever be able to beat Xbox LIVE. Xbox LIVE is great and Microsoft just keeps making it better and better. My one really big problem with Xbox LIVE is no Clan support. I still can’t believe M$ is giving us all this cool stuff in this fall update and yet they forgot to add Clan support (BUMMER!!!). Bottom line, with the way things are now with Myspace, Facebook, and technology in general, things are becoming easier and easier to communicate with your friends. When Xbox LIVE came out, it simplified our lives and made it very easy to communicate with friends no matter where in the world they are. The Wii on the other hand, seems like it is taking a step backwards with the whole online interface and decentralized friend list (new friends list for each game, WTF!!!). CENTRALIZE THE FRIEND CODES NINTENDO AND MICROSOFT ADD CLAN SUPPORT TO XBOX LIVE PLEASE!
