Weekly Willy Update (WWU) for the week of December 12, 2008
Well most of us survived another semester of college or school, and now most of us are on Christmas break YAY more Halo time online now.
Clan News, Info, and Events…
Clan match with Winged-Warriors got re-scheduled for Thursday December 11th @ 11 pm this might push back the recap write up on this a few days.
Not much else on the clan front but I do want to mention sometime real quick be sure to come back next week and check out our main page, I will be posting something special next week that will take place of next weeks WWU.
Gaming News…
Instead of Halo Wars coming out in February it is now going to come out March 3rd
Microsoft is giving us some more free stuff for our dashboards; you can download this free premium snow dashboard theme for your 360. So if you live in an area where you don’t get snow at least your 360 will have some, me I think I see enough snow where I live to get me through the winter just fine without downloading this theme.
So Panasonic made this 103 inch TV, hmm 103 seems like an odd number of inches in a TV but when you do the math it comes out to 32.5 inches if you are playing 4 player split screen. All I have to say is THAT’S A LOT OF TV !!!
I found out that Microsoft added a QWERTY keyboard to the NXE. All you have to do is go into your system settings and click on console settings, then click on Language and you will see two English settings, one of them gives you the QWERTY keyboard.
It makes typing messages to friends a little faster then using the other keyboard layout; it takes all little getting used to. Sometimes when I would go type a message on the QWERTY keyboard I would forget I have it and think I was using the old one. So try it out you might like it.
Willy’s Rant of the Week (WRotW)...
Nothing to rant about this but I do want to mention something cool, if you have been reading the WWU you know I am a huge Resident Evil fan. Well last week they released the Resident Evil 5 demo for Japan only, well there was an article online telling people in America and else where how to download it and well I played the demo. It is amazing but very hard I still have not beaten the demo yet. I was afraid to post anything about it cause I was afraid my Xbox would be banned from getting online or something. Come to find out Capcom found out people were downloading it and all they did was region lock the demo so you can no longer download it the way I did that’s it nothing else. Also turns out Microsoft disabled the function to play the demo online with your friends, which didn’t hurt me either because I didn’t know anyone else who had the demo, and it’s no fun to play online with strangers.
Willy’s Weekly Boredom Killer (WWBK)…
This week in the WWBK is a game that you can actually buy for the Nintendo DS but you can also play it online for free. It is called Lock's Quest and it is another castle defense game. This is by far the best castle defense game I have seen, you use cannons mounted to the castle wall to defend your castle. At the end of each round you can either upgrade or repair it is really hard but really fun, so check it out.

This week I did not browse Bungie’s site for cool screenshots I found these by accident. Someone left a comment on one of my gamevee videos, so I checked out his gamer tag and Bungie.net profile and these three shots really stood out to me.
