Weekly Willy Update (WWU) for the week of February 04, 2009
Well Feb boo berry is upon us and winter is almost over and by almost over I mean not really.
Clan News, Info, and Events…
Well after all the votes have been counted it seems like more people favored or liked Logo #1 so that saves me some work, because it is already our logo on our headed right now, so just scroll to the top of the page if you want to see our new / current logo.
Gaming News…
To start off this weeks gaming news, Mass Effect 2 will come out some time next year and it will be multiplatform.
Also there is a video online showing some Halo Wars game play and it’s pretty cool, I don’t know why people are knocking on Halo Wars, but at the end of the video it says the Halo Wars demo is coming out tomorrow SWEET.
This week IGN interviewed Lars Bakken from Bungie and he said after the last of the Mythic maps are released with Halo 3: OSDT, those will be the last of the Halo 3 maps.
At first I was like WHAT !! Actually with the Halo 3: OSDT maps coming out, that would make it 24 Halo 3 maps and at the end of Halo 2’s run with Tombstone and Desolation Halo 2 had 23 maps. So why does it still seem like there are not that many Halo 3 maps hmm.
Willy’s Rant of the Week (WRotW)...
After being away for so long I finally have something video game related to rant about, the other night me and 3 other clan members of mine were playing team slayer and we played about 6 games of slayer our first game we lost which was okay. So we continued to play team slayer on our 2nd game we ran into a party of 4 and lost to them but we didn't care.
On our 3rd game we ran into that same party again so we thought nothing of it, needless to say they were the typical online jackasses so we decided to avoid a few of them after our 2nd run in with them.
So on our 4th game of slayer for the night we ran into that same group a 3rd time.
After that game we decided to see if we could find a Team Objective game instead just so we could avoid playing them again. We couldn’t so we figured that was enough time, by now we figured we would not run into that same group again because they would already be in a game. Nope on our 5th game of team slayer that night we ran into them again.
So after our 4th run in with the same group I told everyone in my party to file a complaint to avoid those 4 players if they hadn’t already done so. So with my fingers crossed we went into Team Slayer to try out this little experiment, yep you guessed it the same group of people again and this time we all had all 4 of them avoided.
All I have to say is wow, what kind of crap is that, this is a new Halo record for me and the people I was playing with. I have never run into the same group of people in matchmaking more the 3 times but 5 times now that is a record. Oh not to mention while in game it was fairly laggy, and when I play with my clan mates we never have the kind of lag we had in game that night. Something had to be up with that group of people.
By the way if you want to avoid this group of people in match making their gamer tags were.

They even had the nerve to talk trash after some of the 5 games. One good thing is we ended that night of losing to the same 4 people on a good note and finally beat them on the 5th and final game.
One last thing I noticed while I wrote this little rant up, if you go to Hegland25's bungie.net profile, he has an interesting screenshot on his main page. It has a lot of elites and spartans on screen, way more then you should have which leads me to believe they were modding when we played them. LAME
Willy’s Weekly Boredom Killer (WWBK)…
This week’s game is fun it is called Zeta Flow, in this game you are a little red ship and you have to blow up these bigger ships. There is only one ship you have to blow up but each new level the ship gets bigger and shoots more things at you, near the end it gets laggy because the ship takes up most of the screen. You can even create and submit you own level / ship design and play your own level.

This week I found a site that seems very helpful to those people who tend to lose their cell phone often, on this site you can call your own cell phone and it will help you find it. I think it is most helpful if you don’t have another phone to use.
