Gaming News…
It was a little light on the gaming news this week, but there were a few tidbits of news.
A fan of the old NES game A boy and his blog, they are making a sequel for the Wii.
IGN has a gaming article about the Resident Evil boss Tyrant chronicling him through the Resident Evil series; it’s pretty cool seeing all the different versions of this boss icon from the series.
Bungie had a contest last week and they gave away a few mythic map codes if they picked your ODST screenshot, anyways they made an ODST mosaic and it’s cool looking if you don't like it.
Willy’s Rant of The Week (WRoTW)
It’s back and this week I am here to talk about Halo Wars and the New Halo 3 maps.
First off Halo Wars is a lot of fun, I Highly urge you to download the demo on Xbox LIVE right now and sit down and play it. It is a change of pace playing an RTS aside from all the First Person Shooters and other Xbox 360 games. DO IT NOW the demo is free you have nothing to lose but your time.
Secondly I got the new Halo 3 maps by way of Halo Wars, and to be honest I am a little disappointed with the new maps. Then again I didn’t much care for Standoff and Rat’s Nest when I first played them, but after awhile they grew
on me.
I really wish Orbital was a little bigger I was really excited about this map but it let me down a lot. Assembly is ok but the bases are too small I think, I have not yet played an objective game on Assembly yet so I don’t know how well the bases work. I hope these maps will grow on me the more I play them, I think Sandbox is the best of the 3 maps. Also hopefully Bungie throws a crypt map and a sky level map in the playlist rotation sometime in the future.
Also I hope the other 3 maps coming out with ODST are better, these first 3 Mythic maps are not unplayable but they had the potential to be better Bungie did really promote the hell out of them.
Willy’s Weekly Boredom Killer (WWBK)…
This week I have a game called Boomstick and you are a grey stick person with a shotgun and you shoot things out of the sky and you have to pick up yellow ammo pellets its fun so try it out
